Bobby Blast
Guitars-Keyboards-Vocals

The talents of Bobby Blast have
graced stages form the Copacabana in
New York to Savanna' Georgia 's Posh resorts and back. Bobby first picked up the guitar when the
Beatles hit Shea
and he never looked back ...that is till he got into A Sparkling Planet. What he likes about them is
that they make it their business to look back.. to the 60's and 50's and even 40's so he
can have a chance to do all the songs he missed from the golden error of vocal and
instrumental pop and jazz. Bobby also plays keys and studied with various Broadway
based pit players. For years he played the New York
circuit of clubs, and weddings both as a cocktail pianist
and a guitarist vocalist. As a vocalist Bobby has won several Georgia vocal contests mainly for his Frank Sinatra show.
In the
studio Bobby once did a session with Eric Clapton, and played on and was assistant Engineer on the First
Spider Man Story Album. A graduate of The Institute of Audio Research he worked as a recording Engineer in various N/Y studios.
An
avid guitarist Bobby plays mostly Fender and Gibson guitars but has a few "offbeat" guitars that he uses for
certain sounds. The Planet's eclectic mix of old and new requires a wide variety
of guitar work and Bobby's axes are always up to the task. He also compliments the regular keyboardist's work with additional string
and keyboard fills . Lead or harmony vocal work,
lead or rhythm guitar work , backup keyboard work, Bobby is always up to the task of making the Planet's sounds unique,
enjoyable, danceable, listen able, or in a word
"Sparkling".
